The Camera, The Negative and The Print by Ansel Adams are considered the most important theory books for photographers. They're expensive to get in print but it's easy to find free digital copies. For photography books anything by the magnum photographers is a great starting point. I use a Rolleicord V, a Pentax MX and a Pentax Spotmatic by the way :)

That Pentax MX looks so cool. I was looking at the Ricoh III Diary, I have never been partial to buying the newer cameras but the look and build of that one really catches my eye. Maybe ill cave and get one in the near future... Thanks for the recommendation ill browse around the internet archives for it. :)

I have a Leica Q I had since 2019. I adore this thing. I should really add feature to put pictures in comments. I have around 30 photobooks and some of them I searched wide and far for them. It’s such an amazing medium. I’ll edit the comment later when I get home to put some titles here. Some of my favorites that I can think of - Periperique: https://loosejoints.biz/products/peripherique - Calcutta: https://www.shashasha.co/en/book/calcutta - Raf simons’ The Fourth Sex: https://www.archivepdf.net/raf-simons-the-fourth-sex-adolescent-extremes-2003 - Helene by Hysteric Glamour and Purple Mag: https://www.ideanow.online/helene.html - Arthur Elgort’s Models Manual: https://www.amazon.com/Arthur-Elgorts-Models-Manual-Elgort/dp/0963923609 - And a lot more!

That Leica looks so sleek. I've been browsing on marketplace for a new digital camera. I came across an old Sony Cybershot thats in great condition - just love the sort of hazy picture those old things produce. Calcutta looks very cool - I love that raw B&W look. Helene also seems to capture a y2k vibe which I dig. Thanks!

Yea I love both film and digital, but honestly after the 20th "I thought this was a perfect shot and it's dogshit" moment that could have been prevented by having a digital camera capable of instant feedback loop, I largely avoid film now. My old boss had a Contax t3 and let me use it anytime I wanted as if it was mine. That glass is unbelievable stunning and really wishes me I stole it from him on my last day.
