Repressed Masterpiece

Great look into what it means to resign yourself to a certain life and lying about being content. Also captures how humiliating it feels to be vulnerable after closing yourself off for so long. Beyond some rare flashes of emotion (that are swiftly quashed) this book is suffocatingly repressed and cold; there are no melodramatics here. Catalysts of change often result in reinforcement of an icy, but more fragile stasis. Seriously slept on, one of the best books I have read.
