Author
Valerie Worth-Stylianou is a leading researcher on sixteenth- and seventeenth-century French literature and culture, and author of a series of best-selling works on French language learning and grammar. After completing her first degrees and doctorate at Oxford University, and spending a year lecturing on Renaissance French literature at the Université de Haute-Bretagne, she was a lecturer at King's College London (1990-9), and then held Chairs of French at Oxford Brookes University (1999-2006) and Exeter University (2007-9). She returned to Oxford University in 2009, where she is Senior Tutor at Trinity College.
Valerie lives in Oxfordshire with her husband, daughter and son and three cats. In her occasional spare time, she enjoys frequent visits to France, walking, swimming, music and reading.
