Yevgeny Abramovich Baratynsky (Russian: Евге́ний Абра́мович Бараты́нский) was lauded by Alexander Pushkin as the finest Russian elegiac poet. After a long period when his reputation was on the wane, Baratynsky was rediscovered by Russian Symbolism poets as a supreme poet of thought.
