Bernard Pyne Grenfell

[English] Bernard Pyne Grenfell (b. 1869 in Birmingham, d. in 1926 in Oxford) was an English scientist and Egyptologist, und Professor of Papyrology at Oxford. Together with Arthur Surridge Hunt he took part in archaeological excavations at Oxyrhynchus and discovered many old manuscripts, which are now known as the “Oxyrhynchus Papyri”.
