Nikolay Alexeyevich Nekrasov (Russian: Никола́й Алексе́евич Некра́сов) was a Russian poet, writer, critic and publisher, whose deeply compassionate poems about the Russian peasantry made him a hero of liberal and radical circles in the Russian intelligentsia of the mid-nineteenth century.
