Arthur Golden was an English professor emeritus at the City College of the City University of New York, known for his work on Walt Whitman. He co-edited *Leaves of Grass: A Textual Variorum of the Printed Poems* and edited *Walt Whitman's Blue Book.* Golden was a Fulbright Scholar and was affiliated with the university until his death in 2016.
