do any of you have an e-reader you swear by? i have tried so hard with the kindle paperwhite (and an iPad ofc, but i mean a genuine device solely for reading) and i just can't do it..... having a baby soon and am going to be carrying so much stuff that it feels smarter to just e-read my stuff in the near future to make space for physical baby books + other baby stuff (edited to add: I do think part of the reason I struggled with the paperwhite was the small size, i like a big font and didn't like having to scroll the page 4 times to read 1 page)

this kobo comparison chart https://comparisontabl.es/kobo-e-readers/ helped me pick my new one. you can sort by descending size, since you mentioned that was an important factor for you — there are 10.3" & 8" models which are currently available (but ebay/fb marketplace/etc. sellers will probably have listed some of the discontinued ones, too)

I use paperwhite signature edition, it's good enough. I am also looking for alternatives, but I don't know if a Kobo or whatever makes any difference. I hate that it's only touch screen though. I used to have an Oasis that had physical buttons that I lost somehow, I miss that one so badly.

Aw I appreciate it but it's ok! At this point I've fully accepted the fact that paperwhite is just going to my kindle. Thanks a ton for the offer though ❤️
