@brandon | I started reading Last Exit to Brooklyn by Hubert Selby Jr. then Abandoned it due to the viscerally intense contents of the book which made it uncomfortable to read. Anyone here have thoughts on if its worth finishing?

I think so! Visceral and intense and uncomfortable is the point. Not for everyone, natch, but a wee snoop reveals that you're into Henry Miller and Carmen Maria Machado, and I think if you can handle them, I would imagine you would be able to handle Selby. Is there something in particular you're struggling with?
