masterful! as a fan of historical epics obviously this was going to be an instant favorite but I'm surprised by how much I love it. satan was not the redeemed figure morons make him out to be, more of a judas character: necessary for god's plan, regrettably, but at the end of the day still an evil being. sympathetically portrayed, though. also had a lot of pagan virtues I noticed. pleasing poem.
