there's a sort of optimism here, like the feeling that if you cough hard enough a pulsing mass might escape and out there in the tissue all the sick will be captured there and you'll be finally cleansed of it. perhaps in another decade it'll be appropriate to relitigate the 2016 election cycle, but here it feels weak, even if the basic thesis here (The Schizo Was Right All Along) is in some sort of agreement with myself. i think i liked this book, i think Kleist was the right angle of attack, but i wonder if the madness was kept too carefully at arm's length
